With the industrialization of countries and the increase in urban population, humanity has an urgent need for energy. Over the past few decades, to address this necessity, humans have increasingly relied on fossil fuels. This reliance has resulted in the emission of greenhouse gases into the Earth's atmosphere, leading to global warming. Consequently, numerous natural hazards, such as climate change and the endangerment of habitats, have arisen. Two major concerns regarding fossil fuels are their rapid depletion and their significant contribution to global warming. Solar energy, as a renewable, abundant, and inexhaustible resource, offers a viable alternative to fossil fuels, producing considerably less pollution. In this study, we first introduce and analyze a thermal-solar system. Subsequently, using the TRNSYS software and its associated plugins, we model a hybrid thermal-solar system employing a liquid working fluid. Finally, the system is optimized using the GENOPT program, and the results for the optimized system are obtained and discussed

Sports events have a profound and multifaceted impact on the development of urban sports culture, making their study of significant academic and practical importance. This research aims to examine how urban sports culture can be cultivated through the exploration and utilization of sports events, emphasizing the pivotal role of urban management. Using descriptive-library methods and logical analysis techniques, this study delves deeply into the influence of sports events on the enhancement of urban sports culture. Findings reveal that hosting sports events can act as a catalyst for fostering social cohesion, increasing a city’s attractiveness, and expanding its cultural and social impact locally and globally. These impacts highlight the importance of urban management in effectively integrating sports events into the broader framework of urban cultural development. The study presents several strategies: integrating sports events with local culture to create a distinctive urban identity, attracting exceptional cultural talents to enhance urban cultural evolution, and establishing cultural brands to boost the city's core competitiveness. Furthermore, urban management plays a crucial role in ensuring the sustainable use of sports infrastructure, fostering participatory planning, and leveraging sports events to strengthen social interaction and inclusivity. The findings of this research offer practical insights for policymakers and urban managers to optimize the synergy between sports events and urban management strategies, enabling the sustainable development of urban sports culture.

This research explores the role of urban planning interventions in shaping urban alienation in Tehran. Despite the remarkable speed of physical growth in the metropolis of Tehran—including roads, bridges, and skyscrapers—it seems that individuals are becoming increasingly alienated from themselves, their citizens, and their surrounding environment. Urban alienation, social fragmentation, and the disconnection between individuals and their urban surroundings have emerged as fundamental challenges of modern urban life. Over the past half-century, the three urban development plans of Tehran, designed to improve the quality of urban life, have inadvertently exacerbated these issues. As the primary strategic documents guiding urban interventions, these plans, instead of bridging the gap between human (inside) and the city (outside), have intensified feelings of powerlessness and lack of control over life. It could even be argued that they have deepened the distance between individuals and their own inner selves. The present study seeks to answer the question of whether urban development plans, as strategic documents in metropolises, address the issue of urban human alienation, reflection, and problem solving. In other words, can this issue be effectively tackled through urban development plans? The research approach, alongside a review of theoretical literature, employed a qualitative methodology using the Delphi technique to conduct interviews with experts and specialists in this field. The findings reveal that the decline of public spaces (10.68%), Persistent construction and physical monotony (9.71%), Expansion of large-scale highways (8.74%). These factors have played a significant role in expanding and deepening urban human alienation and social atomization.

The significance of urban management in shaping urban culture and lifestyle cannot be understated. This article delves into the intricate relationship between urban development policies and their impact on the evolving cultural and social landscapes in cities within Iran. With the transition of city management responsibilities to non-governmental entities and public institutions, understanding its challenges and contributions becomes imperative. Utilizing a comprehensive approach that integrates articles, research studies, and library resources, this research adopts semi-structured qualitative interviews spanning the past three decades. By soliciting insights from cultural experts and urban management professionals, the study examines sociological, contextual, and behavioral determinants. The findings underscore that urban management policies both internal and influenced by global and governmental factors play pivotal roles in shaping urban culture, social services, and citizen lifestyles. The article emphasizes that a centralized approach to urban management, devoid of collaboration with relevant institutions and stakeholders, risks inefficiencies and challenges.

The popularity of participatory budgeting as an institutional approach to involve citizens and use their opinions in urban management is increasing day by day. Participatory budgeting, as a new method in urban management, has been widely accepted worldwide in order to increase transparency and citizen participation in municipal decision-making. Considering the very important and significant role of citizens in the development and sustainability of the city, this method is used to attract their cooperation and participation in municipal activities and is a powerful tool in attracting citizens' cooperation and participation in municipal activities. However, participatory budgeting in Iran is a new method and has recently been considered. Therefore, in the present study, the authors have tried to design and introduce a framework for implementing participatory budgeting in Iranian municipalities by examining the common processes and mechanisms of establishing participatory budgeting in municipalities in developed countries.

In the literature on urban planning, neighborhoods hold significant importance, and their optimal size in terms of population, area, and service levels has been defined by various scholars. Over time, these concepts have evolved in different countries and perspectives, and no universally agreed-upon standard has been presented. This paper reviews different views on the optimal size of a neighborhood and proposes an initial optimal population and area for neighborhoods in Tehran. Using a comparative analysis method, the current status of Tehran's neighborhoods in terms of population and area is examined and categorized, then compared with the optimal range. The results indicate that a new optimal standard needs to be defined for Tehran, as half of the neighborhoods do not fall within the acceptable range. This study emphasizes the necessity of establishing a specific framework for determining neighborhood boundaries to achieve spatial justice and equitable access to service.
